🗓 What Is Memorial Day?

Our ESL teachers shared the history of Memorial Day, which is a national holiday in the U.S. to honor soldiers who died in military service. Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May and is often considered the start of summer in America.

🛳 What Is Fleet Week?

Students also learned about Fleet Week, a special event in New York City where U.S. Navy ships come to town, and sailors meet the public. It’s a big part of how Americans celebrate Memorial Day, especially in cities like NYC.
