COURSE HOURS, PREREQUISITES & DESCRIPTIONS

Academic Writing Classes (Intermediate)          180 Hours

​

Prerequisites：Passing ESL Level 6 or  M-EPT Raw Score 71+ and Academic Writing Placement Test 5+

 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of academic writing and be able to write well-organized and clearly developed academic paragraphs of various types as well as demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts of academic essay writing.

Academic Writing Classes (High Intermediate)          180 Hours

​

Prerequisites：Passing ESL Level 6 or  M-EPT Raw Score 71+ and Academic Writing Placement Test 10+

​

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to plan, organize, write, revise, and edit a variety of academic essay types. Students will know and attempt a variety of complex grammatical structures in their writing.

Academic Writing Classes (Advanced)          180 Hours

​

Prerequisites：Passing ESL Level 6 or  M-EPT Raw Score 71+ and Academic Writing Placement Test 13+

 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to produce well-organized, clearly developed academic essays and term papers in English, utilizing effective grammar, sentence structures, vocabulary, and research.
