The first step for any prospective Bluedata student is to contact one of our counselors. Stop by, call, fax, or email us at your convenience. Our agents/counselors will assess your unique situation and advise you on how to proceed.
International Students (Oversea)
Admission Process If you are currently living abroad, please follow the following steps to begin studying at Bluedata (documents needed are in bold):
- Fill out and submit the I-20 application (download here), along with the school application fee, and SEVIS/I901 fee. (see Courses and Fees)
- Submit an original bank statement* to Bluedata with at least $5,000 for four months of study, and a copy of your passport which has to be valid for at least 6 months.
- Submit copies of all academic records and transcripts.
- Once you receive your I-20 and are accepted to Bluedata, you should schedule for a visa interview at your local US embassy.
- Once your visa application is approved, you should to come to NYC no earlier than 30 days prior to your class start date and take an oral and written placement exam with us. Our agents/counselors will also speak to you about issues such as housing, vacation, insurance etc.
- Upon course placement, students sign an enrollment agreement, register and pay for the appropriate class.
- Attend class!

Change of Status Student (within the US)
Admission Process If you are looking to change your current non-immigrant status (J1, H1b, etc) to F1 status with Bluedata, you need to follow the below procedures:
- Submit I-20 application (download here), plus school application fee, SEVIS/I901 fee and I539 (change of status) fee. (see Courses and Fees)
- Fill out an I-539 form (download here). Our agents/counselors can provide assistance if necessary.
- Submit an original bank statement* to Bluedata with at least $5,000 for four months of study, and a copy of your passport which has to be at least valid for at least 6 months.
- Submit copies of all academic records and transcripts.
- Once your student status is approved, you need to take an oral and written placement exam. Our agents/counselors will also speak to you about issues such as housing, vacation, insurance etc.
- Upon course placement, you need to sign an enrollment agreement, register and pay for the appropriate class.
- Attend class!

Transfer Students (within the US)
Admission Process If you are transferring from another school, please refer to the following procedures:
- Ask your current school for a transfer/SEVIS release.
- Fill out and submit our School Transfer Form (download here) to your current school and have them return it to Bluedata after the release is done.
- Submit the I-20 application (download here) and school application fee. (see Courses and Fees)
- Submit an original bank statement* to Bluedata with at least $5,000 for four months of study, and a copy of your passport which has to be valid for at least 6 months.
- Submit copies of all academic records and transcripts.
- Once you have transferred and are accepted to Bluedata, you need to take an oral and written placement exam. Our agents/counselors will also speak to you about issues such as housing, vacation, insurance etc.
- Upon course placement, you need to sign an enrollment agreement, register and pay for the appropriate class.
- Attend class!
* Affidavit of Support (download here) is needed if you have a sponsor.

Domestic Students (no visa required)
When a student visa is not required, please fill out Bluedata's Domestic Student Application Form (
download here) and provide us with a copy of a valid identification (passport, US driver's license etc). Then register and pay for your class. Your agent/counselor will provide you with an entrance exam.
For GRE and GMAT students, you need to provide us with a college transcript or diploma proving college junior and above status in order to be enrolled.
